Repair

We can do that!

If there is a problem with one of our probes, we will do our best to solve this. Either we repair, or on request in simple cases give instructions for self-help.

DIY - Do it by yourself!

If a probe and not the over all pressure system is leaky (please test thoroughly) in less complicated cases you can help yourself (single or possibly two pressure probes). Relatively simple is the exchange of the head or tail which can be carefully removed by use of hot air or a saw and can be exchanged against a new component. Instructions can be found in the Support section.

Repair by us.

We try to repair defective probes if this is still economically useful. This is almost always the case with single- and double probes, with triple probes, the exact damage pattern is important. Therefore, even if it is a bit of effort, please follow the procedure below before sending in a probe. This is the only way to quickly and reliably implement a repair order.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

  • Description.

    Please provide a detailed description of the probe that you would like to return including     product number (see product list) and the nature of the defect. Ideally a clear photo of the     probe including head and end piece showing the damage.

  • Feedback.

    Generally we will get back to you within one working day with an initial assessment. During peak holiday seasons this can take a bit longer due to higher demand.   

  • Application.

    After our initial feedback, you can return the probe to our workshop in Berlin. Please remember to provide your contact info: address, phone number and/or e-mail address.  ATTENTION: Submissions from outside the EU must be clearly marked on the outside with: 'RETURN FOR REPAIR' and with a pro forma invoice value 10 EUR (defective probe). The value for a transport insurance must be of the same value! Otherwise, customs will charge us = you import tax.

  • Offer.

    After reviewing the damage, we will make an offer to repair the probe. This is usually lower than the originally price.

  •  Repair & Return.

    IMPORTANT: In exceptional cases a repair attempt my fail. In such instances we will not charge you for our repair work but the probe sent in may be lost. Depending on the damage a repair takes 1-3 working days. If we did not receive the probe in its original packaging we will return it to you in our specially made boxes.
